Person took money to get me a job abroad, what legal action can I take

I given money to my neighbour for getting a job in abroad, he don't have any consultancy, what is the legal action I can do for this, I done legal documents and Cheque leafs

If a person with intention to cheat has taken money from you by making you believe that he will get you job abroad and has failed to do so and has made undue enrichment and causing loss to you, then an action for cheating can be initiated against him. The cheque can be presented and an action under Sec 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act can also be initiated against him.

File a complaint before nearest police station against Neighbour . The police will call him and take FIR if he cheated
