Once you have received the notice, it is necessary to immediately engage a lawyer to represent and defend you in the matter. You will also be required to sign the Vakalatnama authorising the lawyer to appear and act on your behalf. The appropriate reply/response to the notice will then be prepared and submitted by the engaged counsel. If you have received summons from the court then you should definitely appear before the court either in person or through VC with your counsel and do the arguments as to why the case should not be initiated against you.

If you Recieved a summon to assist before the court, then you must take appropriate legal advice and appear on the day pf hearing to avoid any adverse order passed against you ex parte, in some cases even warrants can be issued against you, bailable and non bailable as well.
