Money Fraud by a known person, mobile switch off, No response.

I have given some big amount of money to a known person, he said he will return that by November but from last 20 days his mobile is off, he uses other number and when I call on that he don't pick itWhat can be done in this case.

hi what was the mode of transfer of amount to him by cash or cheque and was there any promissory note executed between the parties in relation to it and yoy could file a suit for recovery of amount based on it

You can file both Civil and Criminal cases against him. This is clear case of Cheating and Breaching of Trust. you can recover your amount along with interest By filing Order-37 Summary suit if you have Pro Note or you can file normal Money Recovery Suit
