if someone refuse to return your money what should i do in that case.

My wife is in government job and her working location is in another city. So one of my friend asked me that he could help me out abt transfer to my wife in my working place. So have paid 2 laks rs in cash . But after 1year he did not get transfer and indirectly refuse to return my money. What should i do in that case. Please advise.

Is there any proof that you paid him? Getting a transfer of a government employee itself is not some service that you can seek remedy against failure to perform the person who promised.

issue him a notice to an advocate for recovery of money if he fail to reply on the same then file a case for recovery against that person earlier other there is no other option and your all money gone into the
