Friend not returning money what can I do.

I gave some amount of money to my known person but now he refused to return me back the money. He is saying do whatever you want to do I will not return it back. I have only video clip recording in which he is accepting that he has borrowed money from me. Plz suggest what steps should I take.
First you should hire a lawyer and tell him to send one legal notice to the person whom you have given the money. the legal notice should be send on your behalf by your lawyer. That legal notice should contain such aggressive language and legal clause that compels him to pay your money back.

Take first step I.e to have a legal notice issued to ur friend and demand payment. Though. It is not mandatory but should be issued to examine the stance which ur friend would take.
However, ur friend may choose not to reply to the legal notice.
In case, if your friend do not pay, a recovery suit may be filed basis whatever u have as evidences
