Final Legal Notice for Recovery of ₹10,00,000/- Based on Written Agree

11-Aug-2025 (In Recovery Law)
I had given ₹10,00,000/- to a relative under a signed written agreement promising repayment within 2 months. The deadline has passed but payment has not been made. I have proof of the written agreement but no cheque. I need a strong legal notice for immediate money recovery without filing a court case at this stage.

6 Is it mandatory to send legal notice for recovery of money To send a legal notice for recovery of money, you should first consult with a lawyer to ensure the notice is drafted correctly and complies with legal requirements. The notice should clearly state the details of the debt, including the amount owed, the date of default, and the basis for the claim. It should also specify a deadline for payment and outline the consequences of non-payment, such as legal action.

Without a court case, the relative won’t return a penny. Better to send a legal notice and file a recovery suit against him. Don’t waste your time begging for your own money. It would have been better if you had a cheque. Now it will take years to decide.

A legal notice can be served to the relative either to pay 10 lakhs along with interest and cost against legal notice, or else be ready to face proceedings before the civil and criminal court. If he fails to make payment even after service of legal notice, a criminal complaint can also be given to nearest police station.

The money that you had given your relative with the signed agreement with promise of payment within two months can be recovered either through a money, recovery suit, or an adroitly drafted legal notice, be mentally prepared to file a suit just in case the money is not returned even after send the notice
