Advice Regarding recovery of amount I loaned to my friend

I loaned an amount of approx. 2.5 Lac to my friend when we were working in UAE. Now I am in Delhi and he is in UAE, he is from Kerala originally. I have audio recordings and WhatsApp chat proving my point. How to recover the money?

Hi there,
You need to disclose more facts to give u proper legal advice. However if u have taken any Indian cheque or any written agreement stating India or any other place within India as jurisdiction than only you can file appropriate case in Kerela etc. And did u transfer the amount while he n u were in India ?
Anyways if you paid him in UAE via cash of UAE account while u both were present in UAE then u can’t recover the amount in India. U need to file the case in UAE itself.
However, u need to be more intellectual n politely to get an Indian cheque or agreement for your recovery amount. You need to create the evidences which brings the matter to Indian Jurisdiction.
