A person using destroyed cheques to threaten with a case.

I lost my cheque book about a year back and i got them destroyed and now I suddenly get a message from a person that he has those cheques and has presented them in bank and will file a case on me. I don't know what I can do as i don't have resources to fight a case.

I you have a police report about your cheque then you have to file in the court after that of court consider your opinion then the court may released from case which has been filled against you by that person
