This question requires a further question as from where your grandmother got this property? You are not a direct legal heir of your grandmother but you are entitled to get a share in your grand father's property.

You should file partition suit. ancestral property is coparcenary property and the son is a joint owner along with his father (when he is alive), i.e., he can not have exclusive or sole right to the entire ancestral property.

If your grand mother died leaving her property without any will, then your father can not denied your right over your grand mother's property. Contact a good lawyer, apprise him about all facts and act accordingly as per his advice.
