Hello Sir,

By putting an permanent shade on your terece is there any damage to the structure kindly check that first.
Also as managing committee as you to approach to the BMC then have you check with them about the process for the same . Before going further take an no objection certificate from society for additional/ change in structure.

Can we put shed on terrace?

Municipal authorities must approve any permanent structure, including sheds that cover terraces or open roofs. Few people are aware of the requirements, and even fewer authorities ask about them. Any terrace, whether commercial or residential, requires permission.

BMC previously allowed retractable awnings. However, there was a fear that the permission would be misused by someone to build a permanent shed. In the new circular of July 3, it is stated that during monsoon, sheds may only be placed in open dining spaces in front eating houses.
