Regarding selling the INAM property

Hi, My grandfather got land on INAM during 1965.Now he wants to divide the property (around 7 acres) among his 5 sons including my father.Can my father sell the portion of land he will get as per the division ?Please advice

In your case, as your informed that your grand father obtained the certain land at the time of INAM.
Here automatically either by INAM or by esmentary right your father may become the owner of the said property if there is no disturbance. Under such circumstances, your grand father,

You are saying that it is INAM land granted by the government, you have not mentioned on what grounds it is granted to your grandfather and what is the lease period mentioned in the grant certificate, anyways you may have to take permission from the Revenue Department to sell your property.

I understand that under inheritance law, ancestral property cannot be willed to an arbitrary person, however can the ancestral property be sold without consent of the future successors ? With successors consent able to sell
