Parental Property dispute amongst family members

16-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
I've my parental property in Durgapur. We are 3 brothers and one sister. I don't reside in my parental property and live my own property. After demise of my parents in 2014 i'm asking for the papers from my brothers but they are avoiding the matter. I only have the khaitan number and plot number of the property and nothing else. When I searched for the plot info on the "BanglarBhumi.gov.in" website it shows "Record Not Found". Please help me what step shall I take as I completely doubt that cheating is being done with me and the property is being sold to some third party without my consent.

For finding out the details of property in registration office first of all we have to do the searching and after that when we get the details then we have to collect the certified copy of the said deed.

facts not clear. is this ancestral or self acquired property of your parents. Was there any will? If you are suspicious about that property might get sold by your brothers, then file a suit for declaration on your share of the property along with mandatory injunction restraining the brothers from transferring or alienating the property. Give a public notice in 2 local newspaper with that regard. Get in touch with the local lawyer of durgapur.

You immediately approach to the office of the District Sub Registrar, Additional District Sub Registrar concerned and Registrar of Assurances Calcutta, because these are the three places where the records wirhcrespect to ant transaction of the property can be found by providing the Plot number and Khatisn number, if any entry is found and after taking the certified copy of the entry deed if it is found that such illegality which you apprehended is at all done, you can immediately file a case for cancellation of the same, you will get the total relief. All the best. Regards
