How to get rid of the stamp duty process in property rights

04-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
I have a property which was relinquished by registered deed to my mother by her borther, sister and mother post my grand father death. Property location is north Delhi and it's a free hold property. Post my mother death, me n my sister holds the right on this property by the virtue of registered will in our name. We want to get the rights transferred to us and don't want to get burdened with stamp duty. Please tell us the procedure for the same.

You can get property in your name without spending stamp duty through registered will in your favour by apply mutation in MCD. The procedure involved requires low expenses which can be done by you through getting a Lawyer. Thanks

you already have the rights on the property in question, on the basis of registered WILL, same is vail and concrete proof of title in your favour, but you both are equal rights in property, you are free to sell or whatever you want. In case dispute between in you both, then you seek remedy from the civil court by partition suit.
