How to file partition suit for ancestral properties

i want to file a suit for partition on ancestral properties. what documents do i need to have should i prove how could it be ancestral how much time will it take to collect all proofs do i need to prove partition is done on ancestral properties can i straight away file partition suit without proofs and ask time for submitting proofs

You will need the following
a) Certified copy of title deed of properties which you claim as ancestral properties.
b) Description of properties ( area, location with survey numbers, boundaries etc)
c) Valuation done by Sub Registrar of these properties.
the above are basic pre-requisites in determining the value of the properties and the jurisdiction of courts.
if you get the above mentioned documents, any other requirements for proof of ancestral properties can be submitted at a later stage (during trial). above documents are sufficient to file a suit in court.

usually title needs has to be submitted to support your case, that the property is an ancestral property belonging to ur forefathers etc., and it is better to collect the copies of the title deeds and file partition suit
