16-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
I am 29 yrs old married lives with my father and mother my father is heart patient but my brother and his wife lives seprate with us but she always threat us . my father dispute property but she wants my part of property she always fight call the cops , cut u r hand and tell the cops that we are going to kill her . my brother wife lock my property fight with us and other person who live in my property please advice what i do to save us.
Since your father is alive it will be worth advisable that you go for the parrtition as soon as possible and divide the property accordingly that will create the exclusive rights in ypur favour and your brother would not be in position to threaten you or obstruct you from selling or using the property .
First of all write a complaint with to the local police station that your sister in law is threatening you and your family members with dire consequences. You can file a suit for injunction against your sister in law thereafter.
If property is self acquired property of your father then he can dispose of the property as he wishes. For torturer and intimidation you father can approach the SDM under Senior Citizen protection act as I recall exact title of the Act would be shared latter. However if it's a ansestors property then your brother has a right in the property but doors of SDM for redressing grievances under Senior Citizen act is open.
