Grandfather made a will in 1998 now uncle filed objection petition

Is there any time limit for probating the will.my grandfather made a will in 1998. And died in 2008 the my uncle filed petition for any objection in 2017. Is it valid. What happen if any one object it.
The will was executed by your grand father in 1998 but he died in the year 2008 and the will commences from 2008 . Your uncle challenged it in 2017 and what he did is legally valid . You should have taken steps for probating the will immediately after 2008.
