Does father has the right to sell the property gifted to him

want to know can father sell the property gifted by grandfather to him without the consent of his legal heirs ?

Yes, It was not inherited property. It is gifted property. The Gift also provide full rights over the property as as self acquired property. Here he can sell the same to any one by his absolute right acquired under the said GIFT.

If it is your grand father's exclusive and self acquired property means of course your father will become the absolute owner of the property and no legal heirs will come into picture for the executed gift deed, hence your father can sell it as per his wish.

Property acquired by way of Gift is the absolute property of the father and he can sell the property without the consent of his legal heirs. He may also execute Will to the said property. If he dies intestate (Without any will) then only property devolves to his legal heirs
