Sir if your father has made some Will, then property would go according to the Will. If had not made any Will, then by succession. Your sister can claim her right in the property being legal heir of your father.

If u are a Hindu, as per amendment of 2005 in Hindu Succession Act, even daughters have by birth right in their parental property.
As per your query, as your father died recently, i.e. after 2005 without any arrangement of property otherwise, your sister would have right in the same and you both will be considered as co-sharer in the same and have absolute right over it.
Your query doesn't specify who is in possession of said property and whether you want to deal with the same, and it depends upon various other facts also..

If ur father had left any will in ur favour then she cant but if not then property will be mutated in your favour and as well ur sister in equal...but if ur sister does not want the same she can give affidavit in your before tehsildar then the same would be transferred in your favour...otherwise she is owner in equal share...
