I am living in a flat for 59 years held in the name of a erstwhile partnership firm. My father was briefly employed by the firm. The firm was owned by his elder brother. Both are deceased. I filed for title in 2020at the Metropolitan court. Later I handed over the property for redevelopment in 2021. The case has been dragging without any hearings. I am 72 years old in failing health, I need help my lawyer is not working enthuasticly.

Since you are 72 and the title matter has been pending since 2020, you can seek a case-status review and urgent hearing/expedited relief from the concerned court, particularly considering your age and health. We can examine the pleadings, redevelopment documents and present status of the proceedings, advise whether your existing advocate should be replaced or supplemented, and take appropriate steps to move the matter forward without further delay.

Since you have already initiated the court proceeding it is necessary to understand the stage of the matter and will have to go through the records. It also depends upon the nature of suit that you have filed and the prayer asked from the court.

If there are no living heirs apart from you, the flat lands in your name. However, I am not sure if Metropolitan Court has jurisdiction over your particular issue of title, instead the Civil Court has direct jurisdiction over your issue. We can discuss further and I can guide you

you need to file a case for declaration of title and adverse possession as you are the only surviving heir, you don't have any person against you for this, file for the suit get the decree and basis of the decree get all the title in your name, also your current case which is in metropolitan court might be wrong remedy your correct remedy will be civil suit in city civil court or before civil judge in district court
