Conversion of resident property into commercial property

Hello, I want to convert my residential property into commercial property. Can I do that legally? What is the predecessor for converting residential property into commercial property?

Yes you can. But not If it is within Society than it cannot be converted into commercial unless there's any Resolution passed by the Society to that effect. Still you can convert in it in special cases.

It depends on which kind of business. As per Supreme Court Orders only some specific kind of business can be started in residential zone. Like Doctor, Advocate etc. For other kind of business, it will not be possible legally,

yes you can convert your residential property into commercial property by giving application to the municipal corporation and submit required charges if your property is already in the limits of municipal corporation.
