Can I get my share in the ancestral property

can i claim share in the property of my grandfather? my grandfather is dead and had only one son i.e my father and my father is not selling the ancestral property, I have 4 other siblings and we all want our share in the ancestral property, what can i do? Please help

Yes u will get ur share in the ancestral property of proportionate share with your siblings n father together divided equally. If he is not willing to give you your share you can file a suit for partition in the court of law for your share. If you are in possession you will have to fixed court fee n if you are not in possession you have to shell out advalorem court fee of your share ...

Hmm it is quite easy. If it is your grandfather's property and it has been inherited by your father then all of you have the right to the same under Hindu law. Even if the property is earned by your grandfather himself. In this view of the matter, you can easily approach the appropriate local court by filing a partition suit as expeditiously as possible.

Yes you can do so by filling a partition suit. If your frand father has not made any will then by filliny the partition suit you can get your share. You have to made party to all the legal heirs of your grand father.
