Can a married daughter claim rights on father's property

Religion : Hinduism Person X has inherited his landed properties which was in the name of his mother Y. In the meantime, person X has made the properties in his name. Can the married daughter of X claim her share from X ?

Yes daughters have equal rights as son in the inherited property .

The married daughter have equal right in the parental property after the advent of amendment in the Hindu succession Act 1956,that came into force since 9th September 2005.The Hindu succession Act, 1956,originally didn't give daughters equal rights to ancestral property, This disparity was removed by an amendment that came into force on September 9,2005.

Yes, a married daughter has rights over her father’s property. When father does, his sons, daughters and wife get equal share of his property. You must file a partition suit to claim your property. Please call if you have further questions.

Madam
In the Hindu law the girl have equal right that of the son. The marriage does not take away your right to the property. Say You are one brother and sister and your mother is living then you have 1/3rd share and if your mother has already died then you have 1/2 share.

As we know as per Hindu succession Act 2005 if father died before September 9 ,2005 then daughter can not claim for equal share and also if property distributed before 20 December 2004 then also daughter can not claim for share. Hence it is important to know when did your father died, if he died after 2005, you certainly have equal right to your father's property. All the best. Regards
