Opposite party asking for huge amount for not filing case against me

A road accident happened from me. i was driving and a person got injured while he was crossing the road. at that time no police complaint filed from both sides. now after one month, the person called and said he is going to file police complaint or pay 50k. what should i do
Hello, It means no such spot evidence, FIR must be filled immediately and investigation can be trated for cognizable offence only. In case he files any complain, police will investigate the matter, so not to worry about it and please do not pay any amount. Revert back if necessary.

Let him file the case of MACT first. He will have to file and show all the medical documents, leave from office and other damages caused to him related to that accident.
He can also file a criminal case under section 279/337 IPC.
