Falsely accused of motor accident from drunk drivers

I was driving at night when 2 guys, excessively drunk, driving at a very fast speed tried to overtake me from right. I slowed down given their drunk condition and driving speed. There was a pitfall on the road, they lost their control and fell off in front of my car. I put an immediate break. There was a little gap between where they fell and my car clearly they weren't hit by my car but they had some bruises and jaw blood due to fall. Many people saw this and told me that it wasn't my fault. I helped them into the auto for hospital. Next day I got a call from police that I caused the accident. What should I do?
