23-Dec-2023 (In Motor Accident Law)
I have met with an accident, few months ago, the other party involved has filed a criminal case in my name, police has put sec. 279,337/338 IPC and 134A and 134B of motor vehicle act, I'm a UPSC aspirant, striving for Indian Foreign Service, if I'm convicted in this case and fined(not imprisoned), and if I manage to get the benefit of section 12, can I get into IFS Grade A?

It is crucial to note that having a criminal record does not automatically disqualify a candidate from appearing for the civil services examination. The commission will consider each case on its merits and decide on a case-by-case basis. However, it is advisable for candidates to be truthful and transparent in their application form and provide all relevant information regarding their criminal record
