Can I be jailed for a motor accident case, minor injury to other party

24-Mar-2023 (In Motor Accident Law)
I had met with an accident on 16.08.2015. I had no injuries and the opposite vehicle driver had a fracture in his leg. He was hospitalised and he is recovered and the third party insurance claim settlement is also over. FIR has been filled against me in section 279 & 338 IPC on 16.08.2015 is still pending. Is these sections against me will put me in jail? How to come out of the case soon, because i have to relocate to US for couple of years for my job.

You can approach the high Court for quashing of Fir which has been filed against you. Once the Fir has been quashed you can be free from the criminal case so thatno problem will arise to settle in US.
