There is nothing to Panic, As the promulgation made by a public servant/authority is of mandatory in nature. As here the case in hand the promulgation for the verification of the tenant made by the public/authority was needed to be done mandatorily and you have failed to comply with the same. For not complying with the same you have been booked under section 188 of IPC which is an bailable and cognizable offence and trailable by any magistrate judicial or executive. Usually the proceedings for section 188 IPC runs barely for a year.

Police can book a case against u , simple make tenant verification under the law. It will.be benifciary for u. ,Get a form from police station or internet fill it up and submitted to the concerned police station
