Tenant vacating just after 15 days can we claim rent for that period

we had given house on rent. had taken 2 months advance as well. they were asking for a lot of changes to which we denied. now they are asking for refund. after 15 days. due to them we suffered loss also. are we liable to pay the whole advance of should we cut 15 days rent and pay the amount. they dint sign any agreement with us, they delayed the sign
If they used your premises for 15 days then you can deduct the rent for 15 days from the advance
