Tanent Taken Passport without any NC from Landlord

Hi, I am Staying in Mumbai - Dahisar, We have given our 1 bhk flat on rent. We just come to know that our tenant had applied form Passport without our concern and Police had come for verification at our place. Now how to get confirmation that they have applied for passport application on our address from Passport Authorities? what is the right channel? Our Tenant have many personal local policewala contacts. Please advice.
You can ask it through RTI from the concerned passport department. It is there discretion to reply because it involves the information of a person which sometimes they refuse to provide. You can also write a letter to them asking them regarding the same.
