Room infected with bed bugs and water pipes not repaired.

06-Oct-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

Hi, I am living in Kalyani Nagar in a PG. The entire flat is infected with bed bugs and the bathroom pipes are broken. No matter how much we complain, our plea seems to hit deaf ears. What can I do?

You could apprach the local municipal corporation that is incharge of the area where you reside. They would however be keen to interefere only if any building by-lawys are being violated.

You could look up the building code for your area on the internet and cross check whether your land lord has complied with them.

If he is violating building codes then you could speak to him and inform him that you will apprach the local municipal corporation if he does not do the needful.
