10-May-2026 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Recently entered in 24 m L&L agreement. Agreement has 3m lock in period ( this was not in draft agreement shared by owner) Before signing owner had indicated earlier he had put up for sale but now since entering in agreement will not ask to vacate in near future. Im view of same i entered in agreement. However now it appears he continued is nego with buyer and now asking me to vacate to sell. Can he service me notice without any default from my side?.what Maha.laws rules says ?

Under the Maharashtra law, an owner cannot force you to vacate during a lock-in period without default. The Leave and License agreement is binding; sale does not terminate it as per the concerned provisions of law.
