Need to make major changes in my apartment. Can i ask tenant to leave?

Hello I have rented out a flat in mumbai, It has been five months now. I need to make major repairs in the washroom immediately that the reason i want to vacate the flat and ask the tenant to leave in 2 days time. Can I as a landlord do that, what are the legal procedure and regulation to ask the tenant to leave immediately. Do I need to pay anything, please advice
We suggest that you should send a notice to your tenant thereby asking him to vaccate the house on the reason as stated in your query.
However you are required to give him reasonbale time to vaccate the premises as mentioned in your rent agreement. Since your query is silent on the clause, so we will be advise you only after reviewing the same.
