Landlord not returning the security deposit.

01-Apr-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

House owner refuses to return security deposit of rented premise in spite of the fact there is no clause in the rented agreement regarding notice period of one month should be given before vacating the premises. and this is the reason of refusal given by house owner. Since SD is only 6500/- . going for the legal case is going to be costly which will be well known by house owner. So he is ignoring agreement clause. kindly let me know how to approach this issue for return of my security deposit.

In case there was no clause in the rent agreement to serve a notice period then you can claim for your security deposit. In case the landlord fails to return the security deposit then you can send a legal notice for claiming the same.
