I am a tenant and want to vacate the flat because of discomfort caused

21-Apr-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

Rent agreement-11months, Have completed 4months now,I want to leave because owner has kept her goods in the flat I'm renting and the constant removal and placing of her personal items, as well as accessing the house too often, is quite disturbing. She had a word with my mother and asked us to give her a notice but now she mentions about the 6months lock in period which isn't mentioned in the agreement. I'm a student and my mother is working out station, when she calls to speak to her regarding this issue, she doesn't receive her calls. I need help with this asap. thank you.

Your relationship with your landlord depends on your landlord/Tenant lease agreement. If there is no lock in period mentioned in your lease agreement then your landlord cannot enforce such clause. You can send a notice for leaving the rented premises according to the conditions mentioned in the lease agreement and can end the lease.
