How to evict tenant if he is not agreeing for the same

23-Feb-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

I have two tenants in the front of my house. They are running business over there for the past 17 years, though there wasn’t any contract paper neither any yearly agreement. Now I want to sell my house, so that I can use the money for the treatment of my daughter. When I asked the tenants to leave the house, they are reluctant. How should I approach to evict my tenants? Thank you very much!

You can file an application for eviction against the tenant on the ground that the premises are required for occupation as a residence by you and family members or for bonafide use. The Rent Controller shall look into the application and decide it on the merits.
