Forced Eviction by landlord what to do

17-Sep-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
I entered a house when one of the tenants left. I didn't get a Rental Agreement made. But I have a Rent Receipt for 6 months. The Landlord is an absentee Landlord and lives in Bahrain. He came back to India and had an altercation with me. He asked me to leave the house and forced me out with security. What should I do?

You have not disclosed the altercation you had with the landlord so I am unable to give detailed advice. However if you did not have a rental agreement with him, then you did not have a landlord-tenant relationship as recognized by law. If the rental receipts show that you were paying rent to him directly, and not to his agent then by implied consent you can assume a landlord-tenant relationship. But it is unclear to me as to what your legal query is...
