clarity on eviction suit filed in the court of Small Causes

22-Aug-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
We have filed an eviction suit on two grounds : 1) Bonafide Requirement 2) Subletting and illegal profiteering We have also filed the evidence. The proceedings have reached till my cross examination. My Worry : 1) How long can this cross examination go on ?? Is there any specific time range for it? (I have been cross examined 6 times in past 4-5 months) 2)The respondent advocate has asked for our income details (Form 16s). What if i deny to give the same as we do not want to disclose our earnings to the respondent. Is it advisable ? How will it impact the judgement ? Pl Guide....

it the upon the court to decide about how long the cross examination would go. there is no specific time period in this. if the Advocate has asked then you need not comply on that but if the court has asked you to file your income affidavit then yes you are bound to file it in the court.
