Can a RWA reject me as a tenant?
23-May-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Can a Residents welfare association reject me as a tenant?
Legally this is the sole prerogative of the landlord. The RWA can cite violation of its by-laws and can also withdraw services it provides and can even make a complaint to the police. However, a discriminatory practice (such as not allowing bachelors) is not a legal practice. It is only for the landlord to decide whether a tenant is fit for his property or not.
