Unfair/Biased job interview. Examination body unwilling to investigate

08-Apr-2024 (In Labour & Service Law)
I appeared in a job interview for Public Sector Banks. The interview duration & the scope of questions were very limited. Despite answering satisfactorily I was given a disproportionately low score. Later, I found out from a few other candidates that the panel was biased against engineers. I wrote to the examination body to investigate the matter but they are giving absurd (one liner) replies without showing any interest in the investigation. Can I legally force them to investigate?

Yes u can file a writ petition against the bank authorities seeking direction to investigate (to reevalute ur answers and also conduct an enquiry. If there are more then one agrrevied candidates all can jointly file a petition .The court can issue a writ of mandamus directing the authorities to do the above .Banks are discharging public functions and are amenable under writ jurisdiction of High Court.
