Indemnity Bond which asks for return of actual salary paid

I used to work for a PSU as a med officer. I applied for their inservice candidate training programe of 2 yrs, was selected, given admission, and after 22 months of training, given notice to sign a bond for service or pay back 2 years of salary or they would withhold the completion cert. So i signed. Now, i want to challenge this.
Your matter is much more serious than a simple bond dispute. The critical issue is not that you signed the bond — the real question is when, why, and under what circumstances you were made to sign it.
From what you have stated:
• You were already a PSU employee.
• You applied for and were selected for an in-service training programme.
• You completed approximately 22 months of a 2-year course.
• Only at the final stage were you asked to execute a bond.
• You were told that failure to sign would result in withholding of the completion certificate.

However, the outcome will depend upon the terms of the admission letter, training rules, prospectus, service regulations, and any documents signed by you at the time of joining. If there was no prior disclosure of the bond requirement, you may have valid grounds to challenge its enforceability before the appropriate forum, including the High Court under writ jurisdiction.
