I have a query... I worked at a coorporate hospital on retainer ...am I eligible for full maternity benefits??

There are certain pre requisites to be complied by a woman, before claiming maternity benefits, such as having worked for at least 80 days in that year.
Although I would be able to answer your query after receiving a copy of your retainership agreement and knowing the exact hospital's name, but at the outset, good chances are, that Yes, you will be eligible.

Yes. You can get full maternity benefits like leave of 4 months. It does not matter whether you are a full time employee on the roles of a company or whether you are a retainer or you are on the muster roll.

Practically not really. You may however look into the rules of the hospital how do they work. Further what kind of benefits they generally give to its employees. Also look into your appointment letter or conditions of services.
