college professor can get gratuity

My sister has retired after working for 34 years from a pvt Pharmacy college in Bangalore.
is she entitled for Gratuity?
The college doest give gratuity to anybody and after writing a letter to them asking for the gratuity they have not replied and have ignored the request.
please advice
yes. she is entitled for gratuity as per the payment of gratuity Sct 1972 an employee is allowed for gratuity who has rendered continuous service of not less than 5 years, in case of superannuation or retirement or resignation etc .
