Can a director do a contractual job in Govt. Deptt.

17-Jul-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I have got an opportunity in a Govt. Department for a contractual job for one year. I am one of the directors of a Private Limited company formed recently. I wish to continue as the director too parallel to the job. Is it possible? What are the legal implications.

If you are a full time director of a company drawing remuneration and perks how you can join Govt department albeit on contractual basis? Before taking a decision, please obtain prior approval of the concerned Government department.Even if you are an independent director please follow the same procedure.
