What is the procedure to divorce a foreign national?

23-Nov-2023 (In International Law Law)
I am married for two years to an Iraqi. Our marriage happened at Uttar Pradesh. I am a Hindu and converted into Muslim for marriage. My husband is an engineer. I am staying with my husband in Iraq. Now, my parents are objecting and they are not in speaking terms. My parents have ancestral properties in UP. Now, my husband is having an eye on this and is not treating me well. He many time has said that he wants to go for another marriage. I am also finding difficult to continue with him. Is there a way I can come out of this marriage, come to India and stay with my parents?

You simply have to reconvert into Hindu. Once you do this, the Muslim marriage gets annulled. To reconvert, you have to come to India. Should you need further clarifications you may contact us.
