Claim compensation for medical negligence from a foreign hospital

27-Nov-2023 (In International Law Law)
My husband had undergone surgery of his lower jaw at Bangladesh. We are Indians and he was working for a company in Bangladesh as Sales Manager. This happened since he met with an accident while on work. After this he returned to Mumbai and got a job in a company. Two months back he was unable to properly see and was shown to an ophthalmologist. The doctors team who treated him trace this to the surgery he underwent at Bangladesh. They say it may be because of less flow of blood to eyes while in operation. Can we claim compensation from the hospital at Bangladesh? Is so, how? He is now able to see but not with clear vision.

This may be a case of MEDICAL NEGLIGENCE. Firstly, I am not sure, since I need to hear you, your doctors in our country and the related documents. If there is a possibility for ‘Compensation’ on grounds of medical negligence, we can assist you. The person who compensates can be hospital or the doctor or a combination of these.
