Can we pay balance money in India against a bounced cheque in UAE?

01-Dec-2023 (In International Law Law)
My husband had worked as a technician in UAE. He had issued a cheque to a shopper and it got bounced as there was no sufficient fund. When he returned to India he came to know that the party has moved the court and has obtained a decree against him. He has to undergo jail term. Now, he has arranged money. Can he still pay the amount? Will he be arrested here in India?

Your husband can pay the money even now. The UAE Law of Crime permits. Ask your husband to hire an advocate and empower him to represent you before General Attorney requesting not to execute the jail term. If this is cleared, then, there is no need to fear arrest. He can be arrested in India also. But, pay the dues and follow what we have advised.
