Contempt Of Court By DEFENDANTS IN A PROPERTY MATTER

In a property matter Chennai High Court has given Interim order status quo.But Defendants disobeying the order have sold. Can I give a Police complaint in the local Police station. Or I have to go through High Court only
Dear Sir,
It is better to file contempt petition in High Court only as matter is pending there. It is sheer insult to the Institution of Judiciary. it will initiate action as it's prestige is under question. You will get relief. Try to file such application as early as possible.
