Me & my 85yrs father stays in the family. We have two maids for cooking and household. My working hours is 9-10 hours. My wife's 6hrs. Wife doesn't do anything in the house but watching reels. Father and I do all the house work. She stays most of the time in her mother's house. If confronted, she denies every facts and statistics against her. Keeps pressuring for child after months of marriage so she can live in her mother's house for an indefinite time.

File a divorce on the grounds of desertion and cruelty Desertion is defined as abandoning the partner or not fulfilling the obligations of the marriage. You can also mention that your wife is not fulfilling the obligation of a wife and due to this reason you are facing mental harassment.

Send a legal notice through a lawyer citing: Desertion (wife staying away without cause), Mental cruelty (refusal to participate in household or relationship responsibilities), Irresponsible behavior. This gives her a formal warning and may lead to negotiation or correction. or you can directly file a petition If the wife refuses to return to the marital home without valid reason, the client can file a petition for RCR. The court may order her to return and live with him. or If there’s no improvement and mental cruelty continues, the client may file for divorce
