WhatsApp chat and call which went vulgar and created problem.

11-Apr-2023 (In Family Law)
I know this girl for almost 15yrs but we only met once for 5 mins around 12 or 13 yrs back. Recently, i moved to muscat for a job and in month of January 2019, we had whatsapp chat. It turned little vulgar asking about boobs and sharing a pic of her and i sent mine. We also did a video call and once she removed her shirt. It was mutual and i did not force her. Unfortunately, her husband have seen the chat.. and has been asking me if i have any data or not or why she not speaking to me.. i apologize the man and told him i dont have any data with me. At one time, i spoke to both of them and try to close the matter. they assure that everything is fine. but i am still living in anxiety . I want to know if he can really do any legal case against me. can he retrieve whatsapp video call from company.

No, he cannot lodge an FIR/Complaint/Case against you. Supreme Court has struck down the adultery law. But it can become a valid ground of divorce I.e.adultery. The husband can file for divorce under this ground and use WhatsApp chats, photos & videos as evidence.

in a peculiar like yours you have to first of all ensure that the girl is not married . if the girl is not married then there cannot be any issue because as you say everything was mutual. however if the girl is married then you could be liable under criminal laws of the land. moreover you also have right to privacy and hence can bring an action against the girl for causing defamation to you.
