What to do if Mother In Law creates trouble between me and my husband

I am living with my husband and infant daughter with my mother in law in her flat. Mother in law a keeps on asking me to get out of her flat.what is my legal position in her flat if my husband continues to stay in the same flat.she specifically asks me to get out...but not her son.husband is mute spectator.does not object to mothers tantrums ..neither thinks of moving out.

You have to approach before the court of law of Domestic Violence Act..for residential and financial right and protection...creating pressure is always helpful in those situations..you need to talk to me personally to come out from the problem

The law is on her side. However, you can file a criminal complaint against your m i l under s 498A for torture. But this is not advisable. Tell your husband to arrange for a separate place where you can stay with your husband and child.

Please note that if the flat is owned by your mother in law, she is at will whether to keep anybody in the flat or not! At the other point it is the duty of the husband to maintain his wife. As this is a family related matter it is advisable to seek a marriage Councillor's advice.
From the legal point of view you can always take recourse under the Domestic Violence Act or IPC.
